One of the realese reasons, besides just the five points in the table, was the host defeat by the Genoa for 1-3,  in the seventeeth match, on 4th October, 2009. So, after a round, the Red-blue team went to the Luigi Ferrari’s stadium (Marassi) to try to revenge itself from the defeat happened during its so called birthday.

On 28th February,2010, at 3 p.m , the referee Antonio Damato from Barletta whistled the start of the match and the two teams started to play it.

The Genoa ran very fast and unblocked the match right now for its. At 8′, Palacio kicked corner and Sculli took it header; Viviano returned it back, but just few steps the fast Suazo seized the ball and scored it in the net. Just three minutes elapsed and the Bologna led. The goal was still due to a corner: Mingazzini crossed in the mid box where Criscito alone brushed the ball with his knee and passed it to Buscè who scored it right now: 1-1.

Seven minutes elapsed, Palacio dribbled Lanna and Moras: Moras, the defender, touched the ball, but Sculli arrived and brought Zenoni forward, so he mocked Viviano. The Genoa still led with 2-1.  At this point, the Genoa kept on ending the match without getting positive result. Indeed, at 28′, Dainelli missed an easy stop and passed to Adailton, who arrived in front of Amelia and scored on the break: 2-2.

The crowd clapped amused about  goals outbreak, while the two coaches tore their hair out.  At 38′, Rossi ran very fast to the Red-blue defence and put it into difficulty: in fact, Moras, Portanova and Guana got muddled up, Rossi right passed to  Suazo who brought Viviano forward and scored the ball in the corner: 3-2.

During the break, the two coaches tried to put their own two teams into order, without doing any players replacement.

At the second time, the Genoa attacked right now! Some minutes elapsed, Zapater touched the crossbar from the edge of the box. Yet, the Bologna reattacked and equalized at 57′: Zenoni started from the defence and attacked and passed a fab ball to Adailton, who dribbled clean and on the left foot by brushing the goal post. Then, the Brazilian scored the net: 3-3. After it, the grifons didn’t lose heart and starded to reattack in the Bologna mid field. Just about teenth minutes elapsed, Palacio kicked and Viviano was obliged to save the ball, thanks to the crossbar, too. So, he  was able to deflect the ball with his hand towards the crossbar and then, corner.

Just sixty minutes elapsed, from a cross from the corner, Buscè kicked dangerously to the goal post defended by Amelia. At this point, the Genoa players were really tired, so the Franco Colomba’s guys were being liked the protagonists of the match. Zalayeta was able  to manage the ball, he earned some penalties and brushed the crossbar after a beautiful own action.

Then, below a quarter of an hour at the end of the match, Adailton ran counter-back, passed an assist to Zalayeta, who kicked, but Amelia was good at returning it. So, the Uruguayan had the ball on his own feet, but he felt down, Adailton ran, but Papastathopoulos blocked him domn  in the mid box.Penalty.
