«Champions League is an experience that is making us grow: me, my players, the club. We got through September with some important results and we are here in Anfield to play our cards trying to challenge Liverpool, that’s running really fast. For sure we want to leave here holding head high» said Italiano.

«We have to respect an opponent that has great quality, but we must not be fearful in order to leave the field without regrets. It takes personality, otherwise top teams like them take over. We must repeat the good things done in these first months: we have one point in the standings: we have to look at that, we are confident. We can imagine the climate. Supporters will be very hot but that cannot be an alibi for us, I spoke about that. We have to leave the pitch learning something. We, unlike them, maybe, have seen a lot of Liverpool games and we know they have a lot of quality» closed Italiano.

Bologna’s goalkeeper, Lukasz Skorupski, spoke about the emotions of the game against Liverpool. On the pitch he will meet an old team-mate, Alisson.
